Fiberworks Study Group

Do you want to gain a better understanding of Fiberworks PCW Weaving Software?

July 20, 2023 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

  • Contact Laurie Duxbury at weavers@cvfg.org for more information
  • Do you want to gain a better understanding of Fiberworks PCW? Are you willing to share what you know with others?
  • Laurie Duxbury and Janene Driscoll have offered to facilitate a Fiberworks Study Group for CVFG. The interests of group members will determine the topics covered in the Zoom meetings. The sessions will take us from using Fiberworks as a tool to create .wif files from drafts found in other sources to using Fiberworks’ powerful features to create your own drafts. We will use the Fiberworks Manual as a base for exploring both basic and in-depth features.
  • The loose plan is to follow a draft/project approach. Volunteer participants will share with the group a draft or a project that uses Fiberworks and walk us through the steps they have used with the goal of helping others become familiar with Fiberworks’ array of tools in the Toolbar and drop down items in the Menus. Then participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the Fiberworks tools used to create the draft and will be encouraged to use the tools in their own drafts.

If you want to learn how to use features such as the shaft shuffler, transform features, draft interlacements, parallel repeats, drawing on a network or block substitution tools for profile drafts this study group will have something for you.
