Pattern Draft Your Own Lounge Pants
October 23 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Lounge Pants with Cal Patch
What’s comfier than a pair of loose-fitting pants? You will draft your own custom pattern, make a muslin to test the fit, and then begin a real pair of your new favorite comfort wear! This versatile pattern can be made with an elastic or drawstring waist, added pockets, in woven or knit fabrics, and in various lengths for all seasons.
Note: The focus of this class will be on drafting the pattern, testing the fit with a quick muslin and correcting the pattern. The “real” pair of pants may be started, but is unlikely to be finished until after class. Cal will show her favorite sewing techniques needed in the construction.
Class Time: Note that teaching time will be 10 a.m. – Noon and 2 – 4 p.m.
Skill Level: Please have at least advanced-beginner sewing skills, with a few simple projects under your belt.
Cost: $25 members, $30 non-members.
Class Size: Max 16 students
