Improve Your Spinning

A spinning wheel class designed for the advanced beginner and intermediate spinner. Learn to spin yarn beyond your default and spin for specific projects.
Work with different fibers, especially those more challenging.  Spin using different drafting techniques and ply a balanced yarn. Keep good records so you can spin and ply more consistently. Learn to better understand your wheel and have it working at optimal performance.
Gain confidence in your yarn making adventures and really Love the yarn you spin! 

SKILL LEVEL:  Must be able to spin a continuous singles and have produced at least one 2-ply skein. 

STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: Working spinning wheel with 3 bobbins, lazy kate, niddy noddy, wheel accessories (orifice hook, oil, extra whorls, extra drive band, etc.). A favorite fiber and any you are having trouble spinning. 

INSTRUCTOR WILL PROVIDE: Variety of spinning fibers, handout and miscellaneous supplies for use during class. 

CLASS SIZE: 12 Maximum

TIME: 9 am–4 pm (includes a one hour lunch break)

COST: $50 CVFG Members & $60 Non-CVFG Members
MATERIALS FEE: $10 Payable to instructor during class.

Kimberly Radcliffe learned to spin in 2009 and has been honing her yarn making skills ever since. She primarily spins from hand processed fibers. Known for her consistent spinning techniques, she  focuses on helping students create a yarn they love! Her idea of relaxation is to spin a singles she needs a magnifier to see ; )
